The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) recently organized a fresh draw under its Skills Immigration stream. The draw focused on individuals possessing work expertise in Tech, Childcare, and Healthcare sectors.
This marked the third draw in the Skills Immigration stream that BC PNP has held in September.
Recent BC PNP Draw: Main Takeaways
On September 19, 2023, BC PNP’s newest draw extended invitations to 225 aspirants requiring them to have at least a score of 60. Invitations spanned three sections: Entry Level & Semi-Skilled, Skilled Workers, and International Graduates (including the EEBC option)
Section 1: General Draw – Issued 147 invites with scores required from 89 – 111
Section 2: Childcare: Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202) – 51 invitations given requiring less than 60 points
Section 3: Healthcare – Distributed 27 invites, minimum score of 60
Invitations granted for skilled immigration streams may be influenced by one or more of the following factor:
- Education Background – both field and place of study, as well as degree level
- Recognized professional accreditations within B.C.
- Proficiency in languages
- Designated profession
- Extent and caliber of professional background
- Remuneration and/or professional rank of job proposition
- Commitment to reside, contribute, and establish roots in a particular region
Strategic Objectives – Factor that B.C. Meet specific workforce needs. or promoting government testing schemes and operations
The British Columbia PNP consistently sends ITAs to eligible individuals, with a few exceptions. The timing, magnitude and scheduling of upcoming BC PNPs depend on the requirements of British Columbia’s application repository during the invitation phase.
