Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program
The Saskatchewan International Skilled Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) system is a points-based system used by the province to select potential immigrants who possess the necessary skills and experience to meet the labor market needs. This system operates as a key component of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).
Candidates interested in immigrating to Saskatchewan submit an online profile through the EOI system, providing information about their education, work experience, language proficiency, age, and other relevant factors. Candidates are evaluated and allocated a score based on their profile information in the EOI system.
The EOI system follows a two-step process. First, candidates must meet the minimum requirements, including a valid language test result, educational credentials assessment (if applicable), and relevant work experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan. Then, eligible candidates are entered into the EOI pool and assigned scores based on their profile information.
Regular draws are conducted by the SINP, inviting the highest-scoring candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. Once selected, candidates receive a nomination certificate, which enables them to apply for Canadian permanent residency.
This assessment process enables Saskatchewan to efficiently regulate its immigration intake by identifying individuals who have the highest capacity to make positive contributions to the province’s economy and society. The EOI system facilitates a transparent and efficient procedure, guaranteeing impartiality and equitable opportunities for skilled individuals seeking to establish themselves in Saskatchewan.
