HIGHLIGHTS OF RECENT MANITOBA PNP DRAW
On August 24, 2023, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) had another round of issuing invites. This time, they sent out a total of 623 invitations to people in three specific categories. These are Skilled Workers who are already in Manitoba, folks in the International Education Stream, and Skilled Workers who are currently Overseas. If you were in this pool, you needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that fell between 612 and 724 to even be considered for an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Breaking it down a bit, 178 of those 623 invites were special. They went to people who not only fit into one of those three categories but also had an active Express Entry profile. Plus, these people had a valid job seeker validation code, which means they’re really in the hunt for work.
This latest draw is just another step in Manitoba’s ongoing strategy. They’ve been ramping up the number of invites they’re sending out while also making it a bit easier to get one by lowering the required CRS scores. It seems like Manitoba is keen on increasing the pool of people who could potentially qualify for a provincial nomination through their MPNP-managed categories. So, if you’ve been eyeing Manitoba as a place to move, now could be a pretty good time, seeing as they’re looking to welcome more people.
