Express Entry Draws in the Future – 2023
This was the first round of invitations for July, following the first-ever category-specific Express Entry draw on June 08, 2023. The draw on July 4th was unexpected, given that the IRCC had previously announced plans to invite 1,500 Healthcare workers through category-specific selection on July 05, 2023.
Additionally, the IRCC is projected to extend invitations to candidates with work experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, through the first-ever category-specific Express Entry draw for STEM professionals.
The introduction of these new categories is aimed at filling the positions listed on the Canada Occupation In-demand List. Immigration is seen as vital for addressing labor shortages and promoting the use of the French language in French-speaking minority communities outside Quebec.
