Overview Of Aug 2023- French-Language Category Express Entry Draw
The latest invitation round conducted by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) under its new category-based Express Entry draws took place on August 2, 2023.
In this draw, a total of 800 candidates with proficiency in the French language were issued invitations. To qualify for this round, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 435.
Express Entry Draw #260 details:
- Total number of invitations: 800
- Rank required for an invitation to apply: 800 or higher
- Draw type: French-Language Proficiency (2023-1)
- Round conducted on: August 02, 2023, at 13:50:04 UTC
- CRS score of the lowest-ranked invited candidates: 435
- Tie-breaking rule applied: July 31, 2023, at 09:57:30 UTC
The tie-breaker is determined by the time and date when the candidates submitted their Express Entry profiles if there are multiple candidates with the same lowest score.
Until now, IRCC has held three rounds of invitations specifically for candidates proficient in French. The prior rounds took place on July 12 and July 07, 2023. Of the six recently introduced Express Entry selection categories, French-Language Proficiency is unique as it does not take into account work experience as a crucial factor for issuing an invitation to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency.
