A new draw has been conducted by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) for skilled immigration category claimants.
On October 11, 2023, the most recent BC PNP draw extended invitations to 185 overseas skilled workers and international graduates. To qualify for an invitation through the BC PNP, the aspirants needed a baseline score of 60.
Professionals with experience in tech, childcare, healthcare and Other Priority Occupations were the focus of this exclusive draw.
Details of BC Skills Immigration Draw: October 11, 2023
Skilled Workers and International Graduates, including those under the EEBC option, received invites in the following categories:
- In the Tech occupations category, 118 invitations were issued with a minimum score requirement of 90.
- For Childcare, specifically Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202), 45 invites were sent out, requiring at least a 60 score.
- In the Healthcare sector, 17 professionals were invited, each needing to meet or exceed a score of 60.
- Other Priority Occupations (NOCs 31003, 32104) saw fewer than 5 invitations, with a base score of 60 needed for consideration.
This is the second skills immigration draw conducted by the BC PNP in October, following the initial draw held on October 4, 2023.

Applicants are evaluated and ordered according to the points obtained through the BC PNP Point Calculator. The allocation of points is influenced by criteria including age, education, professional experience, language skills, adaptability and having a spouse sponsor.
Those who receive the highest scores are given an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to progress their application for permanent residence through the BC PNP.
