On October 24, 2023, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP) conducted the latest BC-PNP Tech Draw, executing two separate selections. The first was related to the Skilled Immigration (SI) stream, while the second was related to the Express Entry BC (EEBC) program. These include professionals from the technical sector as well as candidates from specialized sectors including health care, education and other priority professions.
Invitations for applying for permanent residence in Canada via the British Columbia initiative were extended to a total of 161 competent workers.
Details of the October 24, 2023 BC PNP Draw:
- Tech: A total of 101 professionals from the technical sector received invitations, including skilled workers and international graduates with the EEBC option, all of whom required a minimum of 90 points.
- Childcare: The sector of Early Childhood Educators and Assistants (NOC 42202) saw 34 invitations sent out to Skilled Workers and International Graduates, including those eligible under the EEBC option, with a required minimum score of 60.
- Healthcare: In the healthcare sector, 22 individuals from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories, including the EEBC option, were invited, provided they met or exceeded the minimum score threshold of 60.
- Other Priority Occupations: For the specific NOCs 31003 and 32104, with the EEBC option available, less than 5 invitations were distributed to candidates within the Skilled Worker and International Graduate groups, all requiring a minimum of 60 points.
British Columbia implemented its fourth round of invitations in October, following the BC PNP Skills Immigration Draw held on October 17, 2023.
