The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) has completed another round of invitations.
On August 17, 2023, the recent PEI PNP draw was undertaken, during which 142 candidates received invitations. These were distributed among the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labour & Express Entry categories, marking the second draw by Prince Edward Island for the month of August.
PEI PNP Draw Details: August 17, 2023
Labour and Express Entry Categories: 138 invitations, requiring a minimum score of 50.
Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Category: 4 invitations, demanding a minimum score of 102.
For the August 17, 2023 draw, Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the Critical Worker Stream were awarded to those engaged with a PEI Employer, provided they had a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 50. Foreign workers possessing at least two years of pertinent experience in Semi-Skilled and Unskilled positions might qualify to apply for the Critical Worker Stream within the PEI PNP.
The recent draw aligns with the anticipated Prince’s Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program draw timetable for the year 2023.
Within the past year, the Prince Edward Island PNP has extended a total of 2,502 invitations to Labor & Express Entry aspirants and 78 to those in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur sector.
Breakdown of invitations over the last year:
- Labor & Express Entry: 97%
- Business Work Permit Entrepreneur: 3%
The PEI PNP Critical Worker pathway is categorized under the Labour Impact section, and it provides a specific channel for applying for Canadian Permanent Residency for particular employees who might not be qualified to follow the Express Entry immigration method.
