Overview of latest French language category-based draw
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently conducted another Express Entry draw, marking the second category-specific draw for the French Language Proficiency category.
This latest draw took place on July 12, 2023, where 3,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were given out specifically to those falling under the French-language proficiency category. The minimum score needed on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was 375 for candidates to qualify for this round of invitations.

In case there are multiple candidates with the same lowest CRS score, the selection is determined by the date and time of their Express Entry profile submission.
This is the second time in July that an Express Entry Draw has been conducted specifically for the French-Language Category. The first one took place earlier in the month, on July 7, 2023, with 2,300 ITAs given out. Following this second draw in July, the cumulative number of ITAs issued in the French-Language Category has now reached 6,100.
