Quebec RSWP Draw -Who Received Invitations?
The invitation selection process was guided by public criteria under section 45 of the Quebec Immigration Act. A total of 802 invitations were extended to candidates who satisfied the following requirements:
- Proficiency in French at level 7 or above, as per the Quebec Scale of French Proficiency Levels for Adult Immigrants, or an equivalent scale.
- An attained score of 626 points or higher.
- An existing job offer outside the Metropolitan Community of Montreal area.
From June 2023 onwards, only candidates who profess to have a French proficiency level of 7 or above, according to the Quebec Scale of French Proficiency Levels for Adult Immigrants, in their Expression of Interest, will be eligible for an invitation to apply for permanent selection.
An exception is in place for individuals holding a verified job offer beyond the Montreal Metropolitan Community (MMC) borders. These individuals may temporarily receive an invitation for permanent selection application without the need to state their French proficiency level.
Steps for Invited Applicants
The details furnished in your Expression of Interest will be replicated in your permanent selection application, where you will be asked to supplement and verify the information provided. Specific data will be requested in your permanent selection application.
Upon completing your permanent selection application, you will get a tailored list of documents to help substantiate your Quebec Immigration application. Additionally, you will be provided with an application to gain an attestation of understanding of democratic and Quebec values. If you and your family have already obtained this attestation, this invitation will not be extended to you.
You are granted a 60-day timeframe after the submission of your application to:
- Secure your attestation of understanding democratic and Quebec values. Failure to do so will result in your application being declined.
- Dispatch the requested documents via mail to the specified address.
The formal processing of your application will only commence once your documents are successfully received by the relevant authorities.
