On June 20, 2023, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) took a significant leap towards boosting its vibrant labor force by hosting back-to-back draws under the Employer Job Offer’s Foreign Worker and In-demand Skills Stream. The draws resulted in a total of 1,000 candidates receiving invitations to apply.

Details of the Recent OINP Draws

The latest round of invitations under the Ontario Employer Job Offer category was split into two streams – the Foreign Worker Stream and the In-demand Skills Stream.

This draw extended 426 invitations to candidates who had created their profiles between November 22, 2022, and June 20, 2023. Candidates required a minimum score of 36 to qualify for this draw.

The In-Demand Skills Stream saw 256 invitations being issued in a general draw. Candidates with profiles created between November 22, 2022, and June 20, 2023, and with a score of at least 26, were included in this draw.

The June 20th draw represents the ninth draw for the Foreign Worker Stream and the second for the In-demand Skills Stream in 2023.

The Significance of the OINP Employer Job Offer Category

The Employer Job Offer category of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is a favored immigration route for skilled foreign workers intending to establish their lives in Ontario, Canada. A prerequisite for applicants under this program is securing a full-time, permanent job offer in one of Ontario’s in-demand occupations from an employer based in the province.
